Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner named five accused in the FIR and later on vide statement recorded in first week of December, 2016 he named another two accused, Ramanjit Saini @ Sonu and Narinder Singh but the police has not taken any action against them. He made representation dated 10.03.2017 (Annexure P-4) to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana but no further action was taken.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to look into the representation (Annexure P-4) made by petitioner and take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be taken as direction to Commissioner of Police and Investigating Officer to proceed against any of the accused named in the FIR.
