In view of above, the petition is hereby disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar to look into the matter and to consider and decide representation dated 19.02.2024(Annexure P-5) in accordance with law within a period of two months of the receipt of certified copy of this order and to provide necessary protection if the situation so warrants. 3.
However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners. In case the petitioners have committed any offence, law will take its own course.
