(ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that the claim of the petitioner for the grant of interest has been rejected by the authorities, vide order dated 29.05.2019 (Annexure P-2) in an arbitrary manner, though, as per the settled principle of law, he is entitled for the grant of interest on the delayed release of the pensionary benefits. Learned counsel for the petitioner further argues that against the said order, the petitioner has already approached respondent No.1 by filing an appeal on 04.10.2019 (Annexure P-4) and the said appeal is still pending consideration with respondent No.1 and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction issued to respondent No.1 to decide the appeal dated 04.10.2019 (Annexure P-4) by passing an appropriate speaking order.
