(Oral) The prayer in the present petition is for issuance of directions to the official respondents No.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents No.5 to 8. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would be satisfied, if their representation dated 21.02.2022 (Annexure P-3) is looked into by the respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Patiala, and a decision thereon is taken expeditiously.

In this view of the matter, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the representation (Anexure P-3) of the petitioners and take a decision thereon within a period of six weeks from today in accordance with law.
