Learned counsel submits that the shot fired as stated by the petitioner, hit the non-vital part of the body, it being legs of the complainant. It is a case of version and cross version where Jugraj Singh from the side of the petitioner who is also co-accused received gun-shot injury on occipital region for which reference is made to MLR, Annexure P4. The compromise has been effected between the parties dated 05.02.2026, Annexure P8. Co-accused have been granted interim anticipatory bail vide orders dated 06.11.2025 and 15.01.2026, Annexures P5 to P7. He is not involved in any other case. He is ready and willing to join the investigation as and when required by the investigating agency and will cooperate.

Notice of motion. At the asking of the Court, Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and Mr. Gurmeet Singh Saini, Advocate on behalf of the complainant and affirms the factum of compromise.

Meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation on or before 23.02.2026. In the event of his arrest, he shall be released on interim bail to the satisfaction MOHIT 2026.05.13 15:41 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

However, it is clarified that if the petitioner does not join and cooperate with the Investigating Agency as required by the Arresting/Investigating Officer, this interim order shall be deemed to have been vacated.
