**** AMIT RAWAL, J. (ORAL) The petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for issuance of directions to official respondents to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private respondents.
Petitioner No.1 is stated to be major, but petitioner No.2 is 20 years of age, as per Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-2). They have solemnized marriage on 04.01.2018 which is against the wishes of their parents. The factum of marriage has been pleaded with reference to photographs (Annexure P-4). The petitioners have an apprehension at the hands of private respondent Nos.4 to 7 and in this regard, they have submitted a representation dated 04.01.2018 (Annexure P-5) to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, Punjab/respondent No.2, but no action has been taken so far.
