Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not seeking any other relief as mentioned in his representations (Annexures P-7 &P-8) except that the police be directed to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner. The petitioner has some property dispute with respondent No. 6 and has alleged that due to his property dispute, respondent No. 6 is posing threat to his life and liberty. He made representation to this effect to the police authorities including Senior Superintendent of Police, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali. CRM-M-13037-2017 In view of submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.4Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohali, to look into representations (Annexures P-7 & P-8) made by petitioner and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be read as giving any direction to the police to interfere in the property dispute between the petitioner and respondent No. 6 or to provide protection to the petitioner from any legal action in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings instituted/initiated against him.
