City Phagwara, District Kapurthala. ******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 439 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 197 dated 09.10.2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 18, 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station City Phagwara, District Kapurthala.

Petitioner was arrested on 09.10.2018 with possession of 500 grams of opium and 25 intoxicant injections of 'Beuprenrophine', which fell in commercial quantity of contraband. Bail sought by him was declined by learned trial Court with the observation that there is no reasonable ground for believing that accused (petitioner) is not guilty of offence attributed to him and he is not likely to commit any such offence.
