The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation.

This petition is filed for grant of anticipatory bail in F.I.R. No. 137, dated 17th November, 2019, under Sections 21 and 22 of the Narctoic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (hereinafter 'the Act') (Section 29 of the Act was added later on), registered at Police Station Division No. 2, District Pathankot.

On 2nd March, 2020, following order was passed:- "Submits inter alia that no recovery was directly effected from the petitioner and his name has transpired from the disclosure statement of the coaccused. Notice of motion for 13.07.2020.

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest of the petitioner by the Arresting/Investigating Officer, he shall be released on interim bail subject to the following conditions:- PANKAJ BAWEJA 2021.07.13 16:50 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH

That he shall make himself available for interrogation by a Police Officer as and when required; 2.

That he shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any Police Officer and;

That he shall not leave India without prior permission of the Court."

Today, Ms. Monika Jalota, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab submits that petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is not required.

In view of statement made, interim bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 2nd March, 2020 is made absolute. The petition is disposed of.
