(( 5 7$% !./ + , %% + "!88!?$&* !/+ /' @Petitioner, an accused in DDR No.45 dated 09.09.2025, registered against her, for commission of offence punishable under Sections 118(1), 3(5) of BNS at P.S. Jaitu, District Faridkot arising out of FIR No.130 dated 09.09.2025 registered u/s 118(1), 115(2), 191(3), 190 of BNS, at Police Station Jaitu, District Faridkot, has prayed for grant of pre-arrest bail. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the DDR. On the statement of her
husband, FIR has been registered against complainant of the DDR. Thus, it being a case of version and cross-version, it has yet to be ascertained as to which of the parties were the aggressors. In any case, even if the allegations leveled in the DDR are taken to be true at its face value (though not admitted), the role attributed to the petitioner is that she inflicted injury on the finger of left hand of Pavittar Singh. The said injury has been declared as 'Simple' in nature.
The next leg of argument raised by learned counsel for the petitioner is that on account of intervention made by respectables of village, the matter has been amicably settled in terms of compromise dated 24.09.2025 (Annexure P-3). Learned counsel further submits that petitioner, whose past antecedents are clean, is nonetheless willing to join the investigation as and when called for by the IO.

In the meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation as and when required to do so by the Investigating Agency. In the event of her arrest, the petitioner shall be released on ad-interim bail, subject to her furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer. The petitioner shall also be abide by all the conditions laid down under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.).
