1. The present Civil Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the letter dated 11.05.2023 written by respondent No.4 to respondent No.3 stating that the salary of the petitioner cannot be released due to nonallotment of PRAN number. 2. Learned counsel would contend that the salary of the petitioner was not released for the period 20.12.2016 to 28.02.2018 on the pretext of nonallotment of PRAN number which he submits that it is factually incorrect. Be that as it may, on account of it having not been alloted, salary could not be stopped. Reference is made to a communication dated 10.08.
2023, Annexure P-14, addressed by Civil Surgeon, Sangrur to Senior Medical Officer regarding this issue and a representation having been submitted by the petitioner on 06.11.2023 that the same should be given utmost priority and since no action has been taken sofar, after fixing the responsibility of the concerned employee. Despite the aforesaid, the salary has yet not been released for extraneous consideration. A legal notice in this regard dated 10.08.2023, Annexure P-10 has been served upon MOHIT 2024.02.
