*** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition was filed in the year 1997, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned order dated 10.03.1997 (Annexure P-7) vide which petitioner has been ordered to be reverted from the post of Forester to the post of Forest Guard. Petition was admitted on 09.10.1997. Before the petition was admitted for motion hearing, vide order dated 05.08.1997, reversion of the petitioner was stayed and the interim protection granted to him was directed to be continued at the time of admission vide order dated 09.10.1997. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 25 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioner seems to have lost interest in pursuing the same.

Since owing to the superannuation, petitioner has already retired, his grievance qua the reversion stands already mitigated and no further indulgence and/or proceedings are required before this Court qua the same.
