Through the present petition, the petitioner has prayed for quashing of FIR No.499 dated 18.11.2014, registered under Sections 279 and 337 IPC, at Police Station Manimajra, Chandigarh on the basis of compromise dated 5.1.2015 (Annexure P-2).

In response to notice of motion Ms. Savita Rana, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.2 i.e. complainant Dharminder Singh and has tendered his affidavit endorsing the factum of compromise. Even respondent No.2-complainant Dharminder singh s/o Shri Krishan Dev Singh, r/o House No.36-B, Faidan Nijampur, U.T. Chandigarh is present in person and is identified by his counsel. Heard.

Crl. Misc. No. M-1332 of 2015 -2The petitioner was booked for having committed the offence under Sections 279 and 337 IPC. The parties have entered into a compromise and the complainant-injured has tendered his affidavit dated 3.3.2015, which is taken on record. On the basis of the compromise (Annexure P-2) dated 5.1.2015 and the affidavit, furnished by respondent No.2-complainant Dharminder Singh, the present FIR is hereby quashed in view of law laid down by this Court in the case of Kulwinder Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and another, 2007(3) RCR (Crl.) 1052 (P & H). All consequences proceedings pursuant thereto are also quashed.

The petition is disposed of.
