Learned counsel for the respondent/State has submitted that in compliance to the order passed by a coordinate Bench of this Court, report has been received from Sub Divisional Magistrate, Khanna, District Ludhiana vide letter dated 12.02.2026 and as per the said report, it has been found that after recording the statements of the person present on the spot, the Naib Tehsildar, Khanna, concluded that there does not seem to be any truth in the complaint and the labourers mentioned in the complaint were not found at the place in question and as such, the Naib Tehsildar, has recommended to consign the application. It is submitted that in view of the same, the present contempt petition has been rendered infructuous. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is not satisfied with the said report and thus states that the present petition be disposed of but liberty be granted to the petitioner to seek remedy in accordance with law to redress his grievance which is still subsisting. 3.
In view of the same, the present petition is disposed of with the aforesaid liberty.
