*** RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J. (ORAL) Present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Acting Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat Sarwan Majra, Tehsil Indri, District Karnal being eligible candidate in view of Section 51(6) of Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted before this Court that for the redressal of grievance of the petitioner, she has already filed her representation dated 29.01.2024 (Annexure P-3) before respondent No.3 but no decision has been taken on the same till date. She further submits that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.3 i.e. Deputy Commissioner, Karnal, Haryana to decide the representation dated 29.01.2024 (Annexure P-3) in a time bound manner.

She, on instructions from Gurmalak Singh, BDPO, Indri has submitted that the representation filed by the petitioner before respondent No.3 would be decided expeditiously.

In view of the above position, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 i.e. Deputy Commissioner, Karnal, Haryana to look into the representation of the petitioner dated 29.01.2024 (Annexure P-3) and decide the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
