SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 and 5, parents of petitioner No.2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 24.04.2015 (Annexure P-7) made by the petitioners. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Lal Babu is 30.10.1987 as per copy of Identity Card issued by Election Commission of India (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2Dipika Kumari is 17.12.1987 as per copy of Secondary School Examination Certificate (Annexure P-2). They got married on 23.04.2015. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-3 to P6. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
