**** HARKESH MANUJA, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, prayer has been made for issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus.

On 24.02.2023, this Court passed the following order:- "After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner and on going through the averments made in the writ petition, it prima facie appears that the detenue, as mentioned in para 2, is in illegal custody of respondents No.4 and his release has become necessary. Accordingly, it is directed that a Warrant Officer be appointed who shall visit the place as mentioned in the petition or any other place(s) as may be pointed out by the petitioner or her representative in order to locate the said detenue. If the Warrant Officer finds the custody of the above said detenue as illegal with respondent No.4 or anybody else, he shall make every endeavour for his release. The fee of the Warrant Officer shall be fixed by the Registry and shall be paid by the petitioner. The petitioner shall, however, arrange transport for the Warrant Officer. The Warrant Officer shall submit his report on or before next date of hearing.

2023:PHHC:048507 CRWP-1863-2023 -2Mr. Amit Shukla, AAG, Punjab on instructions from ASI, Gurjeet Singh, CIA Staff, Hoshiarpur informs this court that prior to filing of the present petition, the alleged detenue namely Dhanjit Singh Dhana was arrested in FIR No. 66 dated 13.02.2023 registered at P.S. Model Town Hoshiarpur wherein he was nominated as an accused. In view of the aforesaid, the present petition has been rendered as infructuous.

Disposed of accordingly.
