R.P. Nagrath, J. (Oral) Prayer in the instant petition is for grant of anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in FIR No. 27 dated 09.04.2015 for offences under Sections 406 and 420 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), registered at Police Station Longowal, District Sangrur.

As per enquiry report dated 03.11.2014 (Annexure P-2), an amount of ` 70,000/- was paid to the petitioner for getting son of the complainant job in the Police Department out of which ` 60,000/- was returned. However, an amount of ` 1,20,000/- is stated to be outstanding by calculating the amount of interest. This is a question which is to be determined during course of the trial.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Pritam Singh submits that in deference to order dated 29.04.2015, the petitioner has joined the investigation on 27.07.2015 and again on 05.08.2015.

In view of the above and without commenting on merits of the case, the interim order dated 29.04.2015 is made absolute. The petitioner shall also abide by the restrictions contained in Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.

Allowed in the above terms.
