******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This is petition filed by the petitioners seeking directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners. Vide order dated 14.01.2016, Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala was directed to ensure that no harm is caused to the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 9. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Suresh Kumar submits that on the complaint of respondent No.5-Gurmeet Kaur, FIR No.3 dated 06.01.2016 was registered at Police Station Kotwali, Nabha for the offences punishable under Sections 363/366-A of Indian Penal Code against petitioner No.2. As per school record, petitioner No. 1 was 17 years 5 months and 12 days of age at the time of registration of the FIR. Though, petitioner No.1 has got recorded her statement on 11.02.2016 to the police that she did not require any police protection on the basis of which, JYOTI 2019.07.25 09:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
CRM-M-1457-2016 cancellation report has been prepared on 19.06.2018, which will be filed in the Court in due course, still, the protection will be provided to the petitioners as and when they apprehend any danger to their life and liberty. In view of submissions of learned State counsel, this petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, as and when they apprehend any danger to their life and liberty.
