Prayer made in this petition is for transferring investigation of the case registered pursuant to FIR No. 197 dated 10.07.2015 at police station Saleem Tabri, Ludhiana to some other independent agency. It is further contended that life and liberty of the petitioner may be in danger. Assistance of the State counsel was sought on the last date of hearing. At the outset, learned State counsel, on instructions from S.I. Dalbir Singh, who is present in court, submits that Special Investigating Team (SIT) has been constituted which is headed by an officer of rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police. He further submits that prayer of the petitioner for protecting his life and liberty shall be examined. In case any such situation exists, appropriate steps shall be taken. In view of above, no further direction is called for at this stage.

Petition is disposed of. Petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to file afresh in case any cause of action arises. Investigation agency shall make an endeavor to conclude the investigation expeditiously. It is made clear that in AJAY KUMAR 2016.06.
