Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members from the hands of private respondents as well as their relatives and take legal action against private respondents, who are unnecessarily, harassing and threatening to upload the audio/video on social media and defame the petitioner. He further prays that status of representation, dated 13.01.2025, 31.01.2025 and 03.02.2025 from the official respondents be called for. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of her grievances, the petitioner has already filed representations, 13.01.2025, 31.01.2025 and 03.02.2025 but no action has been taken on the same till date.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and without entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, I dispose of the petition with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, to look into the representation (Annexure P-2) of the petitioner and decide the same expeditiously preferably within one month from today and grant her protection, if any threat to her life and liberty is perceived.
