This petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents not to fill-up the posts of Professors/Senior Lecturers (Education Planning)/Senior Lecturers (Reader)/Junior Lecturers/Consultants in the State Institute of Vocational Education, Karnal, without laying down the requisite qualifications in consultation with Government of India, and not to fill-up the same by re-designating the posts from amongst the persons who do not belong to the cadre of Vocational Education and are not eligible.

Learned State counsel submits that the respondent Department/ Industrial Training and Vocational Education is no longer in existence as it has been merged with Skill Development and Industrial Training Department.
