*** ARUN MONGA, J.(ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the order dated 26.05.1998 (Annexure P-6) whereby claim of the petitioners working as Laboratory Assistants for grant of pay scale of Rs.12002040 at par with that of Junior Scientific Assistants, has been rejected. 2.

Petition was filed sometime in the year 1999 by Sh.Surya Kant, J. as his Lordship was then in this Court along with another advocate Sh. Sanjeev Kaushik, who too had in between quit the practice to join service.Subsequently, though 'power of attorney' has been filed by Mr. Sanjeev Verma, Advocate but when called out for hearing, none appears.

It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 22 years before this Court, it has been rendered infructuous and/or the petitioners seem to have lost interest in pursuing the same. 4.

Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file an appropriate application in case, any cause of action still survives.
