***** SUDHIR MITTAL, J. (ORAL) The petitioner seeks regular bail in FIR No.254, dated 24.09.2022, registered at Police Station Tanda, District Hoshiarpur, under Sections 379-B, 395, 411, 149 IPC and Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959 (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been in custody for more than six months. The trial is not likely to be concluded at an early date as examination of Pws has not yet started. There are three other criminal cases pending against him in which he is on bail. Thus, the petitioner may be granted regular bail.

Custody certificate dated 23.05.2023 checked by Sh. Anurag Kumar, Jail Superintendent, Central Jail, Hoshiarpur has been filed in Court. The same is taken on record. A perusal thereof shows that the petitioner has undergone actual custody of 06 months and 28 days and there are three other criminal cases pending against him in which he is on bail. 4.

Learned State counsel concedes that examination of Pws has not yet started.

The petitioner has been in custody for six months and 28 days and the trial is not likely to be concluded at an early date. Thus, I deem it appropriate to grant the regular bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. He is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned.
