ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) The petitioner alleges violation of the order dated 22.07.2019 vide which some general directions were issued to the police in the States of Punjab, Haryana and U.T., Chandigarh, in which one of the direction was that the motorcycles throughout the States are duly fitted with silencers to avoid noise pollution and menace. Reply by way of affidavit of the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, is on record, in which it is stated that from year 2019 till September, 2022, 4151 traffic challans have been issued for violating the directions. It is also stated that as many as 12 FIRs have been registered by the Ludhiana Police against the repeated violators and special campaign are being launched to remove the pressure horns and illegal silencers from the motorcycles.

In view of the above, no willful disobedience is made out at this stage.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
