Mr. Rajesh Mehta, Additional Advocate General, Punjab. Mr. Gopal Singh Nahel, Advocate, for the complainant. AMOL RATTAN SINGH J. (ORAL) Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that the petitioner was collecting a higher amount from clients and issuing receipts to them for such amount but was submitting duplicate receipts, bearing the same number, to the institute authorities, showing a lesser amount to have been collected.

He has produced in Court today one such receipt showing that Rs.16,500/- had been deposited by a client, but the duplicate receipt, bearing the same number, showed just Rs.6,500/- having been deposited by the client.

He further submits that no truth has been found with regard to the allegation that it was actually a Pharmacist who was collecting money, because the receipts are seen to be signed by the petitioner himself. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on the other hand, submits that the signatures of the petitioner have been forged. Consequently, this petition is dismissed and the interim order dated 27.04.2017 is vacated. However, nothing stated herein-before shall be taken to be a finding of this Court on the contentions raised on either side, which would be subject matter of investigation and trial if that comes to that stage.
