(ORAL) Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for protection of the lives and liberty of the petitioners, at the hands of police officials of Police Station Sidhwan Bet, District Ludhiana, as they are falsely implicating the residents of village Khurshidpura, after picking them from their houses.

On instructions from ASI Nirmal Singh, learned State counsel submits that petitioners No. 2 and 3, namely; Rachhpal Singh and Harjinder Singh, at present are not required in any case. Gurdial Singh-Husband of petitioner No. 1-Prem Kaur, has already been arrested in case FIR No. 54 dated 12.04.2017 registered under Section 22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Sidhwan Bet, District Ludhaina.
