Learned counsel for the petitioners confines the relief in this petition for the protection of life and liberty of the petitioner as he apprehends danger to the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of the persons mentioned in complaint, copy of which has been placed on file as Annexure P-1.

Without commenting anything on the merits of the petition and contents of the complaint (Annexure P-1), this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh to look into the grievance of the petitioner concerning threat to his life and liberty, verify the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be interpreted as giving protection to the petitioner against any legal action to be taken in any civil, criminal or other proceedings instituted/initiated/pending against him.
