Through this writ petition, the petitioner, who is the resident of village Awan, Near Ramdas, Tehsil Ajnala, District Amritsar, prays for issuance of the writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.3 to take action on the representation dated 31.12.2020. 2.

In essence, the petitioner alleges that respondent No.5 and 6 (Former Sarpanch and Panchayat Secretary, respectively) failed to auction plot No. 21/2, measuring 53 Kanals 12 Marlas, from which the Gram Panchayat used to normally earn income of 1,00,000/- per year. The ₹ petitioner is stated to have made representation, however, no action has been taken, thereon.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, this Bench does not find it appropriate to exercise its extraordinary jurisdiction. Hence, the petitioner is relegated to the alternative remedy.
