Petitioner-Nabo Dhara has moved this petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family from private respondents. Counsel for the petitioner submitted that representation/complaint dated 25.2.2022 (Annexure P-2) in this regard has also been moved before the concerned authorities, but no action has been taken as of now. ( 2 ) CRWP-2347-2022 Notice of motion to respondents No.1 to 4 at this stage. Mr. Sidakmeet Singh Sandhu, AAG, Punjab has accepted notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 4.

The counsel for the petitioner submitted that he will be satisfied if necessary direction is given to respondent No.4 to take action on the aforesaid representation.

State counsel submits that the concerned authority will look into the matter and take decision on the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law.

In the light of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the representation dated 25.2.2022 (Annexure P-2) in accordance with law within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
