(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is complainant in FIR No.230, dated 2.10.2021 registered at Police Station Kotwali Nabha, District Patiala, under Sections 365, 379-B, 323, 120-B of Indian Penal Code and that the police somehow has been raiding his house at odd hours so as to implicate him in some false criminal case. A prayer has thus been made to issue directions to the respondents to protect his life and liberty. Another prayer has been made that the petitioner be afforded with a week's advance notice in terms of Section 160 Cr.P.C. in case he is required for any investigation.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and without expressing anything as regards merits of the case or as regards averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.03.02 16:04 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-1967-2023 (O&M) respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, District Patiala to ensure that in case the petitioner is required to be associated with any inquiry in the capacity of a complainant or a witness, then a prior notice in terms of Section 160 Cr.P.C. be afforded to him. However, in the case the petitioner is required to be associated in the capacity of an accused, then provisions of Section 41 Cr.P.C. shall be complied with.
