(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he restricts his prayer for issuance of a direction to the official respondents to protect his life and liberty while reserving his rights to have recourse to other alternate remedies including filing of a criminal complaint against the private respondents.
In view of the aforesaid submissions and while refraining from making any observations as regards the veracity of averments made in the petition, it is ordered that in case the petitioner submits a comprehensive application to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran PANKAJ KAKKAR 2021.04.29 11:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
( 2 ) CRM-M-12307-2021 (O&M) within a period of 10 days from today delineating the reasons as regards his threat perception, the same shall be got examined expeditiously by respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is any genuine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, then it shall be ensured that no harm is caused to the petitioner.
A copy of this order be sent to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran for necessary compliance. The petition is dispossed off accordingly. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to avail of other alternate remedies for redressal of his other grievances.
