Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.84 dated 15.06.2016 under Section 18 of the NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Jamalpur, District Ludhiana. Notice of motion.
Mr.V.P.S.Sidhu, Asstt. Advocate General, Punjab, has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent-State and contested the petition. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that the petitioner was on bail and he absented from the Court proceedings on 17.02.2017. The petitioner is now in judicial custody since 28.03.2017. The recovery from the petitioner is stated to be non-commercial.
