**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) This is a petition that has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 14 dated 06.02.2016 under Sections 498-A and 494 IPC, registered at Police Station Beas, District Amritsar.

This Court was pleased to pass the following order on 11.04.2018 :- "Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that petitioner is mother-in-law of the complainant, whose marriage with the son of petitioner has gone in rough weather. Petitioner and her son are living in USA. In case of son of the petitioner i.e. Amrik Singh Randhawa, the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 02.04.2018 has directed him to deposit an amount of

-2Rs.20,000/- with the Registry of the High Court towards litigation expenses and parties were directed to appear in the Court on 20.04.2018. In the said petition i.e. CRM-M No.13253 of 2018, son of the petitioner made a statement that he is ready to come back and join the investigation and would also resolve the dispute amicably. Petitioner being mother-in-law of the complainant also intends to join mediation proceedings in order to have permanent solution of the matrimonial discord.

Notice of motion for 20.04.2018.

To be heard along with CRM-M No.13253 of 2018.

Petitioner is also directed to appear before the Court on 20.04.2018.

Arrest of the petitioner shall remain stayed during the intervening period."

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parties have compromised the matter. In this regard, a report has been received from the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Baba Bakala Sahib, District Amritsar in a petition filed for quashing of the FIR on the basis of the compromise in CRM-M-20178-2018.

Learned counsel for the respondent-State has not disputed the factum of compromise between the parties.

Since the parties have compromised the matter, the petition is allowed and interim order dated 11.04.2018 is hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner will not tamper with evidence or hamper the investigation; will not leave India without permission of the Court and
