Both these petitions are being decided by common order as the same have been filed by two accused persons seeking concession of regular bail arising out of the same FIR No.193 dated 03.10.2022, registered under Section(s) 307/160/506/148/149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959 at Police Station City Jagraon, District Ludhiana.

Learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the respective petitioner(s) contends that the petitioner(s) Gulshan Kumar @ Sheru and Dilpreet Singh @ Golu are in custody since 12.06.2023 and 19.06.2023 respectively and have been in custody for more than two years. They contend that only 01 witness out of total 16 witnesses cited by the prosecution have been examined so far in the present case. It is further contended that it is case of no injury and the allegations arise out of a mutual

altercation between rival groups. They submit that trial is not likely to conclude soon and that continued judicial detention of the petitioner(s) is not likely to serve any larger public interest.
