**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J.(Oral) The petitioner has preferred this writ petition for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent No.3 to release stage carriage permit granted to the petitioner vide letter bearing No.1250 dated 29.12.2021 for the grant of stage carriage permit on the route Abohar to Amritsar (Annexure P-3) issued by the respondent No.3. The said permit was granted after compliance of all legal formalities under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and even the petitioner has already deposited the permit fee of Rs. 6,13,250/- and has also purchased the vehicle No.PB02CC7999. The aforesaid fact is substantiated by the RC of vehicle No.PB02CC7999. served a legal notice dated 29.11.2022 upon the respondent No.3 which has not been decided so far. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case his legal notice dated 29.11.2022 is directed to be decided by the respondent No.3 in accordance with law in time bound manner.

Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the State and submits that legal notice served by the petitioner shall be considered and decided by the respondent No.3 in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
