MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.0015 dated 07.02.2019 under Sections 498-A and 406 IPC registered at Police Station Mukerian, District Hoshiarpur. As per report received from the Mediation & Conciliation Centre of this court the proceedings before the said forum did not yield any positive result. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the FIR in question emanates from a marital discord between the petitioner and his wife i.e. the complainant. He further submits that in compliance of order dated 28.02.2019, the petitioner had joined investigation and cooperated with the investigating agency. Therefore, the present petition be allowed.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Anita Devi, does not dispute the factum of the petitioner having joined investigation and cooperated with the investigation agency.
