/0 Petitioners allege that both of them are major and they got married on 21.02.2024 against the wishes of respondents No.4 who is related to petitioner No.2.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners performed marriage on 21.02.2024 and at that time petitioner No.1 was unmarried while petitioner No.2 was widower and copy of death certificate of his wife is Annexure P-6. That the said marriage is opposed by respondent No.4-brother of petitioner No.2 and respondent No.4 threatened to cause harm to both the petitioners and in this regard, representation dated 26.02.2024 (Annexure P-5) was given to Director General of Police, Haryana but till date no action has been taken by the concerned authority in this regard.

In view of above, without going into the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with direction to Director General of Police, Haryana to consider representation dated 26.02.2024 (Annexure P-5) and to take action if so warranted in accordance with law. 6.
However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners. In case the petitioners have committed any offence, law will take its own course.
