Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 CrPC is for quashing of FIR No.150 dated 5.6.2018 under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468 IPC registered at Police Station City Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the FIR in question has been lodged after 26 years.

At this stage, learned State's counsel, on instructions, submits that the investigation is complete, cancellation report has been prepared and the same is pending approval.

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner wants to withdraw the present petition provided a direction is issued to the State to file cancellation report in a time bound manner. Prayer of the petitioner is innocuous.

Given above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the State to complete all the formalities regarding filing/approval of the ASHWANI KUMAR 2022.10.14 11:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court in case any necessity arises.
