(ORAL) [1] The petitioner is seeking regular bail by way of petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C in case FIR No.212 dated 14.11.2023 under Sections 379-B (2)/34 of IPC, registered at Police Station Haibowal, Ludhiana-Police Commissionarate.

[2] As per the allegations, FIR was registered on the basis of secret information to the effect that petitioner along with others are habitual of committing snatching from the people under threat of causing injuries with weapons.

[3] Petitioner and others were apprehended from the disclosed place and mobile phones, cash and weapons were recovered from them. [4] Learned counsel contends that the petitioner has been falsely implicated; that he is not named in the FIR; that he is not involved in any such activity.

2024:PHHC:030827 CRM-M-10415-2024 -2- [7] Learned State Counsel, on instructions from ASI Gurvir Singh, concedes the fact that no complaint has been received by any person regarding any snatching incident committed by the petitioner. It is also conceded that the petitioner is not involved in any other case. [8] Having regard to the above facts and circumstances, but without commenting anything further on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed and petitioner is admitted to bail on his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the learned trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned, on usual terms and conditions.
