In the instant anticipatory bail petition filed by the petitioner - Pardeep Singh, on 19.02.2025, following order was passed:- "1.

Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 438 Cr.P.C.), is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who has been booked in a criminal case arising out of First Information Report, as detailed hereunder:- Name & age of Petitioner (s) FIR No.

At the outset, on oral request of learned counsel for the petitioner, complainant - Amarjit Singh s/o Nama Ram, r/o Dak Lambran, Tehsil & District Jalandhar/Jalandhar Rural, and his son namely; Kamaljit Singh s/o Amarjit Singh, r/o Dak Lambran, Tehsil & District Jalandhar/Jalandhar Rural, are hereby ordered to be impleaded as respondents No.2 & 3 in the array of respondents. Let amended memo of parties be filed in the registry within a period of next two days.

Contention of the petitioner is that he had received an amount of Rs.3.5 lacs only and victim Kamaljit Singh being a psychiatric patient destroyed his own passport after reaching Malaysia. To show that Kamaljit Singh developed psychiatric and neurological disorders, counsel refers to the medical document dated 09.09.2022 (Annexure P-3). 4.

Notice of motion for 28.02.2025.

On advance notice, learned State counsel puts in appearance on behalf of the respondent - State, and seeks time to respond to the submissions addressed by learned counsel opposite and to file status report.

Let newly added respondents No.2 & 3 be served through the concerned SHO of the area.

On the next date of hearing, the respective counsel would assist the Court as to what steps have been taken by the State Government in regard to implementation of the provisions of the Punjab Travel Profession Regulation Act, 2012.

Thereafter, on the request of learned counsel for the petitioner to pay the amount in installments, the proceedings were adjourned from time to time, granting interim protection from arrest. 3.

Today, it is again informed to the Court that neither has the matter been settled by the petitioner, nor has any amount been paid to the complainant.

In view thereof, no ground is made out for invoking the discretionary jurisdiction of this Court under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023, for granting the concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, as he has forfeited his right of consideration for the same. Accordingly, the petition stands dismissed.
