SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners have filed this petition seeking protection of their life and liberty alleging that they are major and have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 6, who are parents and brother of petitioner No. 1. Apprehending danger to their life and liberty, they moved representation dated 25.04.2017 (Annexure P-5) to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gurugram (Gurgaon). He confines the relief claimed in this petition for direction to respondent No. 2 to look into the representation of petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

In view of above submission of learned counsel for petitioners, this petition is disposed of with direction to Commissioner of Police, Gurugram (Gurgaon) to look into the representation 25.04.2017, Annexure P-5 (addressed to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gurugram) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office. The age of petitioner No. 2 shall also be verified as per his affidavit while considering his representation. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
