The prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the arbitrary provisional list dated 05.10.2023 (Annexure P4) and order dated 04.12.2023 (Annexure P10).

Learned counsel would submit that though the petitioner is higher in merit and shown in the provisional list at Sr. No.10, however, despite the same, she has not been allotted any department, whereas candidates lower in merit have been. In this regard, a representation dated 05.12.2023, Annexure P7, has been submitted by her, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is sanguine of it being considered in a positive manner, in case, a direction is given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner by granting her an opportunity of hearing. 3.

Notice of motion.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Manipal Singh Atwal, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the aforesaid and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 05.12.2023, Annexure P7 and decide the same taking note of the pleas raised, within a period of 4 weeks and if found ASHOK KUMAR 2024.03.05 09:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
