Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter-alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Senior Resident under Orthopaedic category.

Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that his grievance has been redressed, therefore, the present petition is rendered infructuous.
