LISA GILL, J. (Oral) Prayer is for quashing of FIR No. 13 dated 15.02.2016 under Section 498-A IPC registered at Police Station Women Cell Jull, District Jalandhar.

Learned counsel for respondent No.2 submits that the petitioner came back to India after the filing of this petition. He was granted the concession of anticipatory bail by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Jalandhar, pursuant to which the petitioner joined investigation. However, Rupinder Kaur 2017.08.31 16:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document subsequently the petitioner in complete misuse of the concession of bail

Crl. Misc. No. M-15472 of 2016 [ 2 ] afforded to him left the country without seeking due permission. The petitioner has been declared a Proclaimed Offender on 26.04.2017. A photocopy of order dated 26.04.2017 filed in Court today is taken on record subject to just exceptions.

It is to be noted that there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner when the matter was taken up for hearing on 08.09.2016. Thereafter, following order was passed on 24.04.2017:- "Learned counsel for respondent No.2 submits that the petitioner has misused the concession of bail afforded to him. Proceedings to declare him a proclaimed offender are pending. Learned counsel for the State is unable to affirm the same as he is not assisted by anyone in this case today. None had appeared on behalf of the petitioner on the last occasion. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner today as well.

In the interest of justice, adjourned to 21.07.2017. Counsel for the petitioner Mr. N.S.Brar, Advocate be notified of the date fixed in this case."

As per office report learned counsel for the petitioner has been duly notified of the date fixed in this case. There is still no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as above, this petition is dismissed.
