The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking striking down Clause 3(d) of Circular No. 1 dated 24.02.1998 issued by erstwhile Haryana State Electricity Board. They are further seeking direction to respondents to revise their pay scales.

Counsel for the respondents, at the outset, submits that issue involved is no more res integra. A Division Bench of this Court in Krishan Kumar vs. State of Haryana, (2000) 2 SLR 374 (P&H) (DB) has already settled the issue against the petitioners.
