TRIBHUVAN DAHIYA J. (ORAL):
The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to treat the petitioner senior to respondent no.5 in the seniority list.

Learned counsel appearing for respondents no.3 and 4 contends that the petition has been rendered infructuous as the petitioner unfortunately has expired long back on 11.8.1998, which is apparent from the death certificate issued by the Chandigarh Administration on 28.8.1998.

In view of above, the instant petition stands disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
