Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to grant the statutory pay scale to the petitioners as mandated in the 2020 Rules viz. 10300-34800 +Grade Pay Rs. 3200/- alongwith arrears and interest @12%.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the similar question of law as is involved in the present case has already been decided by this Court in CWP-15896 of 2023, titled Saurabh Sharma and others versus State of Punjab and another, decided on 13.09.2024, Annexure P-10 and the same has been upheld upto Hon'ble the Supreme Court of India vide order dated 20.01.2025, Annexure P-12, with regard to which representation dated 24.01.2025, Annexure P-15, has been submitted. He thus, at this stage, on instructions from the petitioners, prays that a direction be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 3.
In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation 24.01.2025, Annexure P-15, within a HAMANT 2025.02.20 18:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-4806-2025 period of 06 months, taking note of the aforesaid judgments, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
