LISA GILL, J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.173 dated 11.12.2016 under Sections 406/498-A IPC registered at Police Station Morinda, District Rupnagar. It is submitted that during the pendency of this petition the parties have amicably resolved their differences before the Mediation & Conciliation Centre of this Court. The Settlement/Agreement dated 29.08.2016 is attached with this file. It is informed that the petitioner and his wife-respondent No.2 have resumed cohabitation. They are now living together in their matrimonial home along with their two minor children. The petitioner, it is submitted, has joined investigation. Therefore, this petition be allowed.

Crl. Misc. No. M-1465 of 2017 [ 2 ] Sukhjinder Singh, Police Station Morinda, District Rupnagar verifies that the petitioner has indeed joined investigation pursuant to interim order dated 22.02.2017 passed by this Court. It is also verified that the petitioner and respondent No.2 are now living together in their matrimonial home. The petitioner is not reported to be involved in any other criminal case. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the settlement between the parties, it is considered just and expedient to allow this petition. Consequently, order dated 22.02.2017 is made absolute. However, liberty is afforded to respondent No.2 to file appropriate application in case the terms and conditions of settlement between the parties are not adhered to by the petitioner.
