***** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to issue an offer of appointment to the petitioner as Lecturer in Zoology in the Education Department,Haryana. 2.

Petition was filed in the year 1999 and has been lying admitted ever since. When called out for hearing, learned counsel is unable to assist the Court for lack of instructions. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that despite attempts, his office could not contact the petitioner.

It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 22 years before this Court, it has been rendered infructuous and/or the petitioner seems to have lost interest in pursuing the same. 4.

During the long interregnum, it appears that petitioner may have moved on to greener pastures of life and would likely have taken an alternative job and therefore, relief sought herein is rendered infructuous. 5.

Disposed of accordingly.
